LONDON

With its diverse arts and music scene, quality shopping and tourist attractions, you won’t struggle to find things to do in this world capital. London takes you on a journey through time, from the remains of the Roman London Wall to the Tower of London, via Shakespeare’s Globe and into the Tate Modern. The question is: where do you start?

Things to see and do in London

St Paul's

St Paul’s Cathedral

One of the world’s most famous cathedrals, St Paul’s was built in the 17th century by Christopher Wren and is an unmistakable part of the London skyline. With its spectacular dome and famous Whispering Gallery, this is a must-see for any visitor to London. Climb right to the very top of the dome and enjoy one of the best views of the city you’re likely to find!
National Gallery

The National Gallery

If you’re looking for art, this should be your first stop. One of London’s finest collections, you’ll find the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square, and the National Portrait Gallery just beside it. Both offer an immense range of work from the 13th to the 20th centuries, and yet both are still a manageable size, so you won’t need a lie-down halfway through.
Tower of London

Tower of London

William the Conqueror’s stronghold, residence to the English monarchy for hundreds of years and the scene of all sorts of historical and political intrigues throughout the ages; amongst London’s most famous places, The Tower is a star attraction
Going Out

Going out in Shoreditch

The cutting edge of London’s arts and music scene, Shoreditch is a hip spot for a drink or three, full of edgy bars, great clubs playing everything from rockabilly to electro and a host of sharp new galleries. On the first Thursday of each month all the galleries in the area are open late, and many serve drinks so you can booze while you browse.
London Eye

London Eye

See London like you’ve never seen it before, from a 135 metre Ferris wheel! One of London’s top attractions, quite literally, the 30-minute ride takes you up and over London and gives you some breathtaking views of the city. This is good place to start off your trip, get your bearings, and come up with some ideas of what to see next!
SHOPPING

Shopping

London has some excellent shopping, with the flagship stores of most high street names to be found in the centre. The busiest shopping to be had is along Oxford Street and Regent Street, and there’s always the world famous Harrods in Knightsbridge if you’re after some more luxurious spending.
